New Collembola Species from the Floodplain Forests of the Transcarpathian Lowland (Ukraine)

Abstract

As a result of an ecological study of the springtails communities of floodplain oak forests (Transcarpathian Lowland), Spinonychiurus epaphius Kaprus’ et Tsalan, sp. n. and Tetracanthella pericarpatica Kaprus’ et Tsalan, sp. n. are collected and described. S. epaphius sp. n. belongs to species group of Onychiuridae with abdominal sternum III, divided into two subsegments. A T. pericarpatica sp. n. new species is distinguished among similar taxa by reduced chaetotaxy of body.
