Abstract

A water mite Sperchon ivonae Pesic et Gerecke, sp. n. (Acari, Hydrachnidia, Sperchontidae) from a stream in the Himalaya Mountains (Himachal Pradesh State, Northern India) is described. Type material is deposited in the collection of the Naturhistorisches Museum Basel.
